I've lived and worked in London, New York, Mexico City, and Berlin, and I've reported from Greenland to the Gulf of California. I hold an MSc (Hons) from Columbia Graduate School of Journalism, a BA (Hons) in History & Politics from the University of Oxford, and Explorers Club membership. My accolades include the Pulitzer Crisis Grant, Pulitzer Travelling Fellowship, duPont Judy F. Crichton Award, Fulbright Scholarship, NBCUniversal Scholarship, and the Hugh Fulton-Byas Award.
