Johnny is a journalist and documentary-maker focusing on environmental and maritime

conflict. Reporting from Europe, North America, Central America, and the Arctic, he

combines immersive fieldwork and boatbuilding with first-person storytelling. Viewed 170+ 

million times and followed by over 1.1 million people, he brings a distinct approach to

stories at sea and on land.​ He holds an MSc (Hons) from Columbia Graduate School of Journalism, and a BA (Hons) in History & Politics from the University of Oxford.
